We can all agree that 2016 has been an, how should I put it, challenging and disruptive year. I think, whether subconsciously or not, we've tried to overlook the depressing times by focusing on the simple things that make us happiest - in this instance, our clothing. The wonderful and creative world of fashion has kept our interest and excitement peaked with luxe and elevated pieces, including our most basic essentials.

Shapes have been elevated with pieces becoming both increasingly slick and interesting. Accessories have been given a 'minimal' makeover with sophisticated totes, luxurious bucket bags and toe capped ankle boots lining the shelves. Whereas clothing now feature focal points, ranging from ruffles and flute sleeves to collars and ballerina straps.
Texture is another area of elevation. Satin and velvet have become the textures to wear with both materials being used to create jackets, trousers, cami tops, dresses, bombers, and footwear. Metals have replaced the velvet choker though with gold, silver and rose gold options now available. And our love for metallic has reemerged again in time for the festive season.
