Alexander Wang for H&M

H&M collaborations are always something to get excited about whether its to purchase something special or just to admire the craftsmanship of a designer as Marni, Islabel Marant, Versace, Stella McCartney and Karl Lagerfeld have all shown previously.

Monopolizing on the hugely popular sport luxe trend, New York based designer Alexander Wang provides the high street with an "urban, unpretentious, technical, accessible [and] fun" range.

Speaking to ELLE magazine he reveals the inspiration behind the collection is "performance and sportswear" and most importantly functionality- a key element even if the product is just for wear. And of course Wang has added his signature simplicity! Not only has atheistic design gone into this collection but technicalities too, such as "bounding, welding and foam injecting.. like the seamless welded parka".

So what exactly will you be able to buy?

Mesh Jumper - £79.99. Leather Trouser - £179.99. Sweatshirt - £34.99. Top - £34.99

From what we've seen on the SS15 catwalk the sportswear element will still exist come March, allowing you to justify these purchases as investment pieces.
